Death was only the beginning. In the hellscape known as the Forge, warriors find themselves pushed to their limits, again and again until there is no longer any life left in them. Will you taste true death or be able to overcome the trials and tribulations brought on by the Harbinger?

Blood. Iron. Death. (B.I.D. for short) is a gritty high stakes OSR flavored game designed for quick, and  brutal play. All the rules for B.I.D. are contained on two printable Pocketfold zines(an alternative Pocketmod design by Matt Kay) and each mini-zine serves a secondary function as it unfolds to reveal more content. When unfolded the Player's Manual becomes a character sheet, and the Harbinger's Oracle reveals tables for crafting trials and tribulations for the unlucky warriors who have found themselves at the mercy of the Forge.

B.I.D. plays like most standard fantasy / OSR flavored tabletop roleplaying games, but is deigned to be intentionally minimal, quick to play, and extremely brutal with an old school roll-under system combined with narrative forward gameplay. 

Player's will create characters, assign ability scores (Brawn, Brains, Weird), determine their health points (Grit) choose special abilities, acquire gear, and then set out to face whatever horrid trials and tribulations the Harbinger has in store for them.

Various abilities and actions will cost players their precious life force (Special Abilities), there will be times when bargains will be struck (Fate's Bargain), and opportunities to challenge the Harbinger to a high stakes dice wager (B.I.D Wagers) that offers the chance for players to pry their destiny from the hands of the Harbinger, wield the narrative in their favor, and forge their own path in the face of insurmountable odds.

What You Need to Play

• A copy of the Player's Manual / Character Sheet for each player
• A copy of the Harbinger's Oracle / Trials & Tribulation Generator
• A standard set TTRPG dice
• A dice pool of at least 12 six sided dice
• Something to write with
• Two or more players

This games designed with minimalism in mind. All the rules for B.I.D.are contained on two printable (front/back) PDF's that can be folded into pocket sized zines. Unlike traditional pocket-mod templates these are designed to be dual use by allowing each zine to unfold into a full sheet of paper to reveal additional content.
